How and when will the children be supervised at the party?
I will supervise the children from the time that the children are gathered for the project to the time when the first child is finished with the project. At that point it is up to the party host to ask the child who finished first to remain in the room or allow them to go into another room for snacks or games. I will remain with the children who continue to bead. There should always be another adult present in the home at all times. It is recommended that an adult stay with the group of children while they begin beading and check in periodically.
What will be provided at a beading birthday party?
Depending on the project you choose, I will bring materials for all of the expected guests (and extra just in case). For beading birthday parties I bring over 100 containers of seed beads in all colors, from hot pink to Yankees blue. I have hundreds of charms to chose from including rhinestone butterflies, silver flip flops, enamel hearts and many more. I have a wide variety of accent beads that are pre-counted in little baggies. Each child chooses one bag for their project, and one color of seed beads.
Can the guests eat snacks or cake before or during the Artcraft activity?
Yes, however I do not recommend it. Snack foods make children’s hands slippery or sticky and it makes it difficult for them to put beads on string.
How long will the children be busy making the project?
From the time they begin to chose their beads and supplies to the time they are finished ranges from 45 min to an hour. Most children will complete the project in 50 min. Everyone creates at their own pace and I encourage them to finish their own work. If someone falls very far behind, I will offer to step in and help them complete the project in the time allotted.
As the host, what should I do when the children have finished their projects?
I encourage children to help their friends on their projects. This is also a good time for a short game that does not need to involve everyone. Usually children find ways to occupy their time for the few minutes that they must wait for everyone to finish. This would be a good time to offer snacks or drinks to the guests.
Are bags for the art project provided for the guests?
I will provide sandwich bags with the children’s names written on them, although most kids want to wear their necklaces as soon as they are done!
What if I have more children than your maximum?
I can accommodate more children but I will asses an additional service fee. Contact me directly for details.
Is it the Artcraft activity messy?
None of the jewelry making activities are messy. Trays are provided for the children to bead. This minimizes the chance of a bead spill, which is easily cleaned up.
Other Artcraft activities which involve markers, paint or glue can be messy, but we do our best to protect table cloths with plastic covers and children’s clothes with smocks.
How much space to I need?
If everyone has a place to sit that's all the space you will need. It helps if you have a small table or empty corner of the room where I can display all of the bead choices for their jewelry creations.
What if I have my own materials?
An Artcraft party includes materials for all children in the project price. If you choose, you can offer more materials or beads for the children to use, but it is unnecessary to provide additional materials.
Parking
In most cases I will need to leave the party approximately 2 hours after I have arrived. For a party from 1-3pm I would need to leave by 2:45. It is important that my car not be blocked in.
When will I arrive?
I usually arrive 15 min before party. There is minimal set up for a jewelry party.
What happens after the children are done beading?
I need time to attach the clasps after everyone is done. It is helpful when I can sit and concentrate to do this.
When is the deposit due?
The deposit is due as soon as you wish to reserve your party date and time. Your deposit of $100 holds your date and time and will be reflected in the balance of your party invoice. I will hold your spot once you tell me the check is in the mail. If I do not receive your check within 5 days, I will call you to tell you run the risk of your date and time to be reserved by someone else.
When is the balance due?
Payment is due on the date of the party after services have been provided. I will send an email invoice to you immediately after I have provided my party services and can show you an electronic copy of the invoice.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule the party?
Please notify me as soon as you know you will be canceling or need to change the date of the party. A $100.00 deposit is required upon booking your party. Your deposit is non-refundable. Should you choose to reschedule your party to another date, $75 of your original deposit will be applied to the new party date.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash or check.
What if there are a few boys in attendance but mostly girls?
I recommend the charm project for this situation. I have skull charms and sports focal beads in replacement
What if there will be a range of ages of children in attendance?
If you are planning to have a birthday party for one of your children and want to include a younger or older sibling in the activities, you can choose a project for both age ranges. Or they can do the same project alongside their siblings.
What about clean up?
For a beading birthday party, there is a minimal amount of clean up. I provide trays and little containers of beads for the children to use. When they have completed their necklace, I ask that they place any leftover beads back in the containers.
For my art classes students are expected to return the unused supplies back to me in the same condition they were given. This may involve brush washing or putting away markers, etc.

Persons who buy or use items from ArtCraftParty, Lesley Designs and Creative Resource Enterprises L.L.C. agree to indemnify (not hold responsible) ArtCraftParty, Lesley Designs, and Creative Resource Enterprises L.L.C. of any responsibility for damages or injuries which may occur from the use of those items.
